We’ve been excited for Jess and Jonny’s wedding ever since their engagement portraits last summer. Wow, was it worth the wait! From the sequined cake to the abundance of pink flowers to all the beautiful printed items made by the bride herself, everything was spectacular. We had an amazing time capturing all the memories of this special day, including the appearance of not one but TWO Herkys. Keep scrolling to see all the highlights!

All the pretty, sparkly little details. We absolutely adore this ring set. The design of Jonny’s wedding band was a secret; he didn’t see it until the wedding day!

In case you couldn’t tell, that is definitely the bride’s beautiful face on the groom’s socks.

Jess’ clutch was a special gift; her mother had it made using pieces of her own wedding gown.

This first look moment got us a little misty eyed! So incredibly sweet.

Next, we headed to Saints Peter & Paul Chapel in Solon. This is such a lovely historic church.

Herky #1 of the day! Jess and Jonny’s sweet pooch was an honorary usher. What a handsome little guy!

After portraits, guests began arriving for a lovely, emotional ceremony.

So much love in this moment.

The bride, groom and both of their mothers poured crushed colored glass together as a symbol of their unity. Later, this glass will be melted together to form a beautiful sculpture.

It’s official! Husband and wife!

Those flower arrangements…absolutely stunning. Walking into the Heights Rooftop reception felt like stumbling into an enchanted garden.

While the wedding party enjoyed a break from the cameras, we got to photograph all these amazing details. “Herky’s Bar” featured a signature sweet lavender cocktail. Yum! So much thought went into every element, right down to these “fun facts about Jess and Jonny” cocktail napkins.

In the middle of the head table, the bride and groom had their own sweetheart table, complete with comfy loveseat.

The patio bar featured a TV showing clips from Jess and Jonny’s engagement session video by Arbor Weddings, plus a pretty great view of Kinnick Stadium.

Each guest had a perfectly frosted sugar cookie waiting for them at their place setting. We love how well these cookies match the rest of the wedding decor.

This cake!! Those edible silver sequins were applied one by one to create the stunning starburst effect. What a showstopper.

One of the best things about the location of Jess and Jonny’s wedding reception is that Kinnick Stadium is right across the street. This is where Jonny proposed and is all around one of their favorite places. And fun fact, Jess and Jonny have attended over 25 Hawkeye football games together!

After dinner, the bride’s mother, the best man and the maid of honor shared toasts with the happy couple.
