This was a very special spring family portrait session with the {I} family, adorable pets included, at Kent Park. It was April. The days were just starting to warm up with the wonderful fresh smell of springtime in the air. The grass was turning green and the trees were beginning to sprout leaves. All these signs of growth and new beginnings were incredibly fitting for this family. Better late than never, I’m so happy to be able to share some of these moments.
The {I} family are more than just amazing repeat clients; they are amazing friends of mine (Carissa’s), as well. You would be hard-pressed to find a couple more fun, genuine and loving than Laura and Scott. I met Laura through work several years ago and I’ve been taking pictures for her ever since, including her and Scott’s amazing destination wedding in Jamaica.
I can’t say how happy I am that we were able to get together for this family portrait session. It’s a striking reminder of how important it is to capture those sweet memories. These photos are a beautiful way to remember their very well-loved yellow lab Zeva who is no longer with us. At the same time, these photos celebrate an unbelievably special life event for Laura and Scott – the finalization of the adoption of their daughters. It was such fun to add in a little cake smash session for their youngest who had just turned one. Between the glittery tutu, the unicorn cake and trying to share some frosting with momma, the cuteness was almost too much to handle! I’m so delighted to be able to share these photos of this incredible family!
