The {B} Family | Extended Family | Kent Park, IASunday, March 21, 2021Posted in CTW Portraits, Extended Family This extended family session took place in late October, on a particularly chilly day! Kent Park was full of beautiful fall colors and enough trees to [sort of] block the wind. This bunch did an amazing job of braving the cold temperatures and were also so much fun to photograph. Keep scrolling to see the highlights! We loved this color scheme! The group coordinated outfits in navy, mustard yellow and burgundy with some nice neutrals thrown in — a very cozy, autumnal take on the primary colors. Midwestern weather can be so unpredictable. We sometimes see 70 degrees in October…but this particular morning was in the 30s. Thankfully, we took plenty of “coat breaks” between shots so everyone could warm up! Something we really like about extended family portraits is breaking the session into little micro sessions for individual families. We’ll get photos of the whole group, plus all kinds of other combinations, like grandma and grandpa with their grandkids! Can you fit a family of 13 on a small bridge? No problem! Okay, we really love this shot of the BIG cousins with their little cousins. So sweet! Another great “when’s the last time we’ve taken a picture together?!” moment was this shot of Kelly, Lyndsay and Shannon. Sisterly love! Whenever we’re able to, you can bet that we’re looking to catch some sweet candid moments during an extended family session. Thanks again, {B}, {L} {M} and {W} families for this fun, laughter-filled extended family session!
