Meredith & Garrett | Wedding | Iowa City, IA

Meredith and Garrett’s wedding day at Hancher Auditorium was just gorgeous! After many rainy days in May, we had a day full of sunshine (and wind!). It was such a joy to capture all the special moments of the day. Some of our favorite things: the first look, the stunning architecture of Hancher, and the Have Nagila dance at the reception. All the lovely little details. Meredith wore the same veil that her mother wore when she was a bride!
The guys had a little fun with these statues outside of Hancher Auditorium.
Before seeing Garrett for the first time on their wedding day, Meredith had this sweet moment with her dad.

We just love the way Meredith’s veil is blowing in the wind here.
These pictures were a meaningful nod to Meredith’s parents’ engagement; her father proposed near this spot on a bench overlooking the river!

During the ceremony, loved ones gave emotional readings.
The lighting of the unity candle was such a special moment.
Officially MARRIED!
The reception space was beautifully decorated. We adore the deep green with touches of gold!
We love a grand entrance…the bride and groom descending down this grand staircase definitely fits the bill. So lovely!
After joining their guests at the reception, Meredith and Garrett began their first dance as a married couple.
Time to cut the cake!
The siblings of the bride and groom gave amazing joint speeches to toast the newlyweds.
Next, special dances with the mother-of-the-groom and father-of-the-bride.
The groom’s grandparents were the winners of the anniversary dance!
So much fun on the dance floor with this group!
