Melehia & Derek | Wedding | Coralville, IA

Melehia and Derek’s Coralville wedding was absolutely dreamy. The prettiest shade of soft pink, so many special details, the sweetest bride and groom…really, there was so much to love! It was a joy to spend time with these two.
Melehia’s dress was elaborate, elegant and perfect, with rose-like swirls in the fabric. It made us all think of romance and fairytales. A very thoughtful detail we loved capturing was the gold ring Melehia wore. This is her grandmother’s ring, on loan for the day as the bride’s “something borrowed (and old).” The pretty blue ring alongside it was her “something blue.”
Melehia, the bridesmaids and flower girls had matching robes to wear while they got ready for the day.
Melehia and Derek decided to not see each other before the ceremony, so the groom was hiding elsewhere in the hotel while the bride came down these stairs. What a special moment, so full of anticipation and excitement.
This bridal party had three flower girls! They were so lovely and did such a fantastic job.
The groom’s face as he watches his bride walk toward him is one of our favorite things to capture during a wedding.
We just adore the way these two look at each other. So full of fun, love and laughter.

This gold and pink cake was beyond stunning. The cascading flowers all around the outside were such a beautiful touch.
First dance magic.
