Fall Highlights | Portraits | Iowa City Area, IAMonday, January 10, 2022Posted in Children, CTW Portraits, Engagement, Extended Family, Family, Maternity, Newborn, Pet ‘Tis the season for a portrait highlights blog post! Fall gets *kinda* busy for photographers. We pick up our cameras in September and by the time we put them back down and look up, suddenly there’s Christmas lights everywhere. It’s an amazing whirlwind and we wouldn’t have it any other way! But it does mean we might fall behind on putting gorgeous fall portraits up on the blog…so here we are. Enjoy the photo dump of some of our favorite fall sessions! Fall family portraits with the {H} family at Wilson’s Orchard were so fun! We’ve been taking this family’s pictures since the oldest kiddo, Rees, was a baby. It’s been amazing watching this family grow. Wilson’s Orchard & Farm is an amazing spot on the outskirts of Iowa City. Farm-fresh food, homemade baked goods, craft beverages…AND an absolutely beautiful setting for some family fun. We met the {S} family on a cold, rainy autumn morning for this extended family portrait session. We stayed nice and warm inside the HarMac, one of our favorite Cedar Rapids event spaces. It was great to see the {C} family to update their family portraits! Golden light at Fossil Gorge makes us so happy. Another highlight of fall was getting to welcome Miss Josi to the world. Lifestyle newborn sessions are so special. Families get to cuddle their new little one in the comfort of their own home and we get to capture all those sweet moments. Heather and Dan braved some late-autumn coldness for their engagement portraits at Fossil Gorge. Even though it was a bit chilly, we had such a good time with them and their cute pups, Oreo and Poppy. Maybe we should start an official Oreo fan club. We’re obsessed with this cutie! He’s such a good boy. Voxman Music Building was a perfect indoor setting for the {R} family’s maternity portraits. We’ve had the pleasure of photographing Alli and Dan through many life milestones. We are SO excited to meet the newest member of the family — Sawyer is pretty excited, too! Finally, we met the {M} family on a GORGEOUS November evening, not too cold and full of golden light. Reese and Fenton are getting so big, we honestly can’t believe it. Weren’t we taking Fenton’s newborn pictures five minutes ago?! We hope you enjoyed perusing these fall portrait highlights as much as we enjoyed photographing them.
