This was such a fun mini engagement session with Cara and Atulya! It was a typical spring day in Iowa, typical meaning completely unpredictable and ever-changing, with lots of rain early. The skies cleared up just in time for us to meet downtown near the Old Capitol Building. Cara’s blue lace dress! That is such a fantastic color. We adore the way it popped against the background of bright green grass and gray buildings.It was such a good day for a little stroll around the Pentacrest. We love this candid moment of Cara straightened up Atulya’s collar.Gosh, these two are adorable! We can’t help but smile looking at pictures like these.What a stunning couple. And this is such a lovely view of downtown, a mix of gorgeous greenness and cityscape. Cara and Atulya met while they were both students at the University of Iowa, making downtown Iowa City a meaningful spot for these portraits.So pretty. Downtown is a perfect place for a mini engagement session — there’s nice little spots around every corner.
