We were so thrilled to meet Amanda and Joshua for their snowy engagement session! They picked February hoping we would have a winter-weather background. Iowa can be pretty unpredictable this time of year, but luckily did not disappoint! We got a nice big snowstorm a few days before Amanda and Joshua’s session. As avid hikers, Amanda and Joshua were more than happy to go trekking through the snow with us!These portraits serve as wonderful evidence that Fossil Gorge is amazing no matter what season it is. Such a pretty winter scene!How gorgeous are these two?!We asked Amanda to tell us how Joshua proposed: “We were vacationing in Switzerland and decided to take a day trip to the valley of 72 waterfalls nestled in-between the Swiss Alps. We hiked back into valley the whole way stunned by the Swiss Alps and waterfalls around us, everything you expect Switzerland to be. About 2 hours into our hike, Josh told me to walk in front of him so he could take a video of me and when I turned around he was down on one knee proposing. My heart skipped a beat, I was speechless other than a yes between my tears of joy.” Such an amazing proposal story!Such a lovely winter glow.So in love.Amanda and Joshua were troopers in spite of the chilly temperature.
