Amanda + Eddie | Engagement Session | Kent Park, IAFriday, June 14, 2019Posted in CTW Weddings, Engagement We joined Amanda and Eddie in the Amana Colonies for their engagement session. This is such a beautiful and unique spot; after plenty of wet and cold days, we had a perfect spring evening. We asked the couple what they admire most about each other. Here’s what Eddie had to say about Amanda: “Amanda is caring, funny, honest and my best friend.” And here’s what Amanda had to say about Eddie: “Eddie is funny, smart, caring and compassionate.” They also told us about their best date: “Our best date was one of our first road trips together. We went to Chicago (Amanda’s first time) and toured the city. We went to museums, ate at fancy restaurants and talked and got to know each other on the drive to the city.” Eddie planned his proposal to Amanda around another trip to Chicago. On their way out of town, Eddie told Amanda there was an old sunken boat visible in Sutliff River and that they should stop to see if they could spot it. As they walked together on the old bridge, Amanda scanned the water for any signs of a boat. When she turned back to Eddie to say she couldn’t see anything, he was down on one knee. “Amanda was shaking and said yes! The best part was after getting engaged, Amanda still wanted to know where this boat was, thinking it actually existed!!” So stunning. The buildings and gardens here were so beautiful. We decided on the Amana Colonies for this engagement session because of Amanda’s love of antique shopping. Thanks for a wonderful engagement session, Amanda and Eddie. We can’t wait for your October wedding!
