Stacy & Matt | Wedding |Shores Event Center, Cedar Rapids, IA

We had the joy of capturing Stacy and Matt’s wedding on an April day at the Shores Event Center in Cedar Rapids. It was cold and rainy outside…but nothing but brightness and warmth and love inside. What a stunning, sweet couple!

We adored the bride’s elegant dress…the glamorous wispy train and those touches of sparkle and beading were so lovely.
The first look…we really love catching this significant and emotional moment. Matt’s reaction to seeing Stacy in her wedding gown for the first time was so touching.
Stacy’s words about her husband: “The thing that I admire most about Matt is his sense of humor. He has the worst Dad jokes and can lighten any situation. We have so many inside jokes and I can look at him and he instantly knows what I’m thinking. He can make me laugh like no one else.”
Matt’s words about his wife: “Stacy is a resilient and outgoing person. She gets more out of helping others than herself and I honestly feel like I would be lost without her. If I’m in a bad mood, she is always the first to lift me up. I am extremely lucky to get to share the rest of my life with such an amazing woman.”
What a great looking bunch! We loved the brick walls and big windows of this space.
Eat…Drink…and Be Married!
The simple greenery alongside black and white decor was so lovely, especially alongside the red brick walls.
After the ceremony, the bridal party snuck out to Grin N Goose for a drink while the rest of the wedding guests enjoyed the cocktail hour.
The way these two smile at each other…so in love.
“Take my hand, take my whole life too…for I can’t help falling in love with you.”
