I am a Social Worker and I am a Photographer. Yes, both of these are “jobs” for me…but I am so incredibly passionate about what I do and strive to utilize my unique talents and skill set to benefit others. I donate my time and services to various causes throughout the year and have a never-ending list of other things I’d like to do…once I figure out how to balance it all with my personal life and financial responsibilities (because, as lucky as I am to love them both – they’re still my jobs after all). But once in a while, an opportunity presents itself that I simply can’t pass up. At the risk of sounding like a total creeper, I contacted my Social Work co-worker, Kelly, and asked if she’d be interested in having me capture some pictures of her little guy in the NICU. If she judged me at all, she didn’t show it – and then jumped right on board! 🙂
Jack was born 10 weeks premature and while he’s making huge strides, he is still in the NICU (which I can only imagine is tough on everyone)…so any loving thoughts, positive energy and/or prayers you can send their way I’m sure would be much appreciated. If all goes as planned, this little guy should get to go home for the very first time later this month! Congratulations again to Kelly & Adam and a warm welcome (6+ weeks belated) to Baby Jack!
